I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized, integrative therapy approach. This means that I integrate aspects of the major psychotherapy orientations, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic in response to the unique needs of each individual. I have received and continue to receive advanced training in all three approaches.
In addition to offering integrative therapy for common life challenges, I also offer specific cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches for many clinical problems. After receiving my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1977, I continued post-graduate studies and became certified as a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and as an Associate Fellow and Supervisor at the Albert Ellis Institute. If you are interested in learning more about these cognitive-behavioral approaches, you might explore the website for the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) or The Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies website.
In June of 2020, I became a Certified Internal Family Systems Therapist. If you are interested in learning more about this approach go to the Internal Family Systems (IFS) website.
In order to provide the best possible services, I take numerous continuous education trainings and courses. If there is a particular issue you are seeking help for, or a specific therapeutic modality you would like to try, do not hesitate to contact me to see if I am qualified to provide that service by calling 818-223-8670.
