I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from couple therapy to therapy for depression to treatment for anxiety disorders and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized, integrative therapy approach. This means that I integrate aspects of the major psychotherapy orientations, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic in response to the unique needs of each individual. I have received and continue to receive advanced training in all three approaches.
In addition to offering integrative therapy for common life challenges, I also offer specific cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches for many clinical problems. After receiving my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1977, I continued post-graduate studies and became certified as a Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and as an Associate Fellow and Supervisor at the Albert Ellis Institute. If you are interested in learning more about these cognitive-behavioral approaches, you might explore the website for the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). I also have an additional website that describes one of those treatments, virtual reality therapy for fear of flying (Fearofflyingcure.com), which I provide in my office.
In order to provide the best possible services, I take numerous continuous education trainings and courses. If there is a particular issue you are seeking help for, or a specific therapeutic modality you would like to try, do not hesitate to contact me to see if I am qualified to provide that service.
